More Jaymi Tips: Preparing for Seasonal Sales

I really got into blogging about lingerie last year and if you are familiar with my journey, then you know that I initially shopped from many fast fashion brands. As I began to learn what makes quality lingerie quality, I began to look into luxury and highly recommended brands. Specifically purchasing from sale sections. I remember last year in September I was totally unprepared for Labor Day and End of Summer Sales. I missed out on a lot of good deals, but this year I am definitely prepared and I am going to make sure you are too. Below are a few things I do to make sure I never miss sales from my favorite brands and/or brands I am looking to try.

  1. Subscribe to newsletters

I know how annoying it can be to check your inbox and have 72 promotional emails in six hours, because I, too, hate excessive email campaigns. However, this is always the way I find the best deals. Also, when you subscribe to newsletters the brand typically provides a discount code for your first purchase, so the benefits start immediately.

If you have been eyeing pieces from Laina Rauma or D. Bleu Dazzled, then newsletters are definitely a tool you should be utilizing to find great deals. Laina Rauma frequently has sales and subscribers to her newsletter always get early access to discount codes. This is super beneficial considering Laina Rauma does not restock her merchandise. Once it is gone, it is gone and you do not want to miss it.

2. Favorite Accounts on Instagram

Many of us have voiced frustrations about how the platform initially created to share pictures now forces us to do everything, but post pictures to remain relevant; however, the platform can be useful to staying up to date with the latest deals.

Since changing the algorithm, it used to be nearly impossible to find content you want without seeing recommended content. Now, you can add selected instagram accounts as favorites. If the account is considered a favorite, you can select to change your timeline to only view your favorites. This comes in handy when looking to shop.

Kilo Brava recently had a warehouse sale where their entire site was half off. I would have missed it had Kilo Brava not been saved as a favorite. I was able to snag a sateen slip I had been eyeing for awhile that retails at $128.00 for $68.00 including taxes and shipping. Kilo Brava used Instagram to announce their warehouse sale and that the owner of the brand was then seven months pregnant.

Sada by Sarah, another personal favorite, had their first sample sale. I was able to get a corset skirt that retails at $260.00 for $118.00 including taxes and shipping. This was a major win that I may have missed in the algorithm. Sada by Sarah solely uses instagram for promotion, so if you have been looking to shop definitely favorite this brand.

3. Follow Lingerie Bloggers on Twitter and Facebook

As a lingerie blogger myself, I follow many lingerie and slow fashion bloggers because the information is very informative of my interest. They also share tips and reviews for products you may want to try. I have gained so much knowledge simply from following brands. One of my favorites is @estylingerie operated by Estelle Puleston.

Estelle is always willing to share information on all things lingerie. She has been a great resource on my lingerie care journey, sharing the best cleaners and care tips for all types of lingerie. While I cannot personally recall Estelle sharing information on sales, she has introduced me to some fun lingerie brands I would not have found without following her. And those brands have newsletters and instagram pages.

Lastly, I cannot mention lingerie bloggers without mentioning @lingerie_addict, better known as Cora Harrington. While Cora announced thelingerieaddict.com would no longer offering new content earlier this year, you can still visit the site for archives. Cora often shared season trends and sales. While the site will no loner be updated, you can still follow Cora on Twiiter, Instagram, or join her private Facebook group Lingerie Addicts for content.

Many brands are prepping to release their Fall-Winter collections which means they will be clearing out Spring-Summer inventory and having Labor Day Sales. This will be the best chance at grabbing a piece you have been looking at all season at a discounted rate. Not to mention, Black Friday and the Winter Holiday season are right around the corner. These tips will help you prepare for the heavy shopping season that is near. As always, if you find any cool lingerie using these tips I would love to hear about it.
